Genetic tests on charred bodies found near an Ecuador military base confirm they are those of four boys, aged between 11 and 15, taken by soldiers three weeks ago, officials said on December 31. That same day, the 16 soldiers suspected to be involved in the disappearance -- who had been put in military detention -- were ordered into custody by a criminal court.
