El presidente de EE.UU., Donald Trump, eligió a Amy Coney Barrett para ocupar la vacante en la Corte Suprema de Justicia del país, tras la muerte de la jueza Ruth Bader. Amy Coney Barrett es una excatedrática universitaria conservadora de 48 años quien actualmente es jueza federal del Séptimo Distrito en la Corte de Apelaciones. De ser confirmada por el Senado, Barret sería la quinta mujer en servir como jueza en la historia de la Corte Suprema de Justicia de Estados Unidos.
