Este domingo el presidente de Paraguay, Santiago Peña, reiteró su apoyo al candidato opositor Edmundo González como vencedor de las elecciones presidenciales en Venezuela, por lo que este lunes el gobierno de Maduro anunció la finalización de las relaciones diplomáticas con el país sureño.
