El 12 de octubre marca para algunos la fecha del descubimiento de América. Pero para otros, es un día para reivindicar a los pueblos indígenas. Es sin duda una fecha que ha generado polémica desde hace más de 500 años. A propósito de esta fecha, el gobierno de la Ciudad de México ha dado a conocer el proyecto escultórico que reemplazará la estatua de Cristóbal Colón que se encontraba en una de las principales avenidas de la capital del país.
