Alrededor de 8 millones de toneladas de desechos plásticos desembocan en los océanos cada año. Un problema que, con el paso del tiempo, se va incrementando y afecta no solo a la vida marina, sino también a cada uno de nosotros. De acuerdo con la Oficina Nacional de Administración Oceánica y Atmosférica de Estados Unidos, NOAA, el 80% de la polución del ambiente marino proviene de tierra firme.
